Re: Rausch Creek Fathers Day run
Awesome trip. We wheeled almost every black trail and a lot of reds in the park including the new property across the street. We had some small issues but no major breakshttps://youtu.be/5gnwesBS0XQ

Re: Rausch Creek Fathers Day run
I'm doing some last minute touch upscreen on my gear install. Pulled the yoke back off and cleaned it real good, sanded down some grooves in it that might have been causing my leaky pinion seal. Then put a new seal back in and reinstalled yoke. My gears have been breaking in for 140 miles so I'm dra...

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Over the past 2 weekends I pulled both axles completely apart installing new air locker o-rings in both and new ring and pinion in the rear. After I got the Jeep drivable again I tried balancing the left rear tire that I believed was giving me vibes on the highway. Turned out the wheel was bent as h...

Re: Wrenching party
It's a special torque wrench for measuring pinion bearing preload. I ordered one on the Cornwell tool truck and it should be here Thursday along with my gears at 4Wheel Parts. Should be ready to go Saturday.

Re: Wrenching party
I'm doing gears probably Saturday . The Jeep is at my house but I'll have to take the carrier and pinion over to Ken's house or my work to press on bearings. Then back to my house to install. I've watched enough gear installs and help Grouchy with my front recently I think it's time I do my own gear...

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
My CJ7 project is coming along. I won't be buying exhaust for it like I planned because of the gear thing with the other Jeep but I did trouble shoot the lights. Finally got all the lights blinkers and brake lights working. Just had to install a brake light switch on the brake pedal and the blinkers...

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
I took apart the whole front axle to install new ARB o-rings and everything went smoothly. I opened up the rear to do the same and discovered chipped and cracked ring gear teeth. This job just got bigger, went to 4 wheel parts and ordered new gears. They should be here next week so I can install nex...
